New Slack output feature: Short mode

We just released a new version of our popular Slack plugin. It adds a configuration option that controls if the message output module should write very short messages instead of the more descriptive ones that are the default.

The default styling of the messages includes the full message in its own paragraph and can also add all fields of the message as a Slack attachment.

This is what the new short mode looks like:

As you can see it is great for message outputs that generate a lot of Slack content. The screenshot you see is showing the output of a nightly task that updates information of the Graylog Marketplace. We use it to verify that everything worked on the next morning.

You can download the plugin here. Upgrading is easy: Just replace the old plugin .jar file with the new one and restart graylog-server.
