Gameforge Uses Graylog to Stay Ahead of Application Performance Issues and Keep Gamers Happy

After reading some of our case studies, Lead Windows System Administrator at Gameforge, Felix Oechsler, felt inspired to share his story of Graylog’s evolution at Gameforge and got in touch with us last month. Gameforge is the leading provider of free-to-play massively multiplayer online games (MMOs) in the western hemisphere. Their games include award winning AION Free-to-Play, TERA: Fate of Arun, Metin2 (Europe’s most successful MMO), HEX: Shards of Fate, and more.

With over 450 million registered players and more than 20 games being delivered across more than 2,000 servers, Gameforge needed a log management solution “to quickly and easily troubleshoot issues before our gamers noticed any problems in the games or systems,” Felix told us. “We also wanted an all-in-one solution that would be easy to use and manage across our different departments.”

Gameforge’s team of 80 application developers and 18 system administrators have been using Graylog since early 2014 to stay one step ahead of application performance issues. Why did Gameforge choose Graylog over other alternatives to monitor and analyze their application log data? How did Gameforge achieve less downtime and less application error-related problems with Graylog? Read the case study to find out: Graylog and Gameforge Case Study
