Solutions Engineer

Graylog is a leading open source log management system that enables fast and efficient problem analysis in the areas of security, compliance, operations and DevOps. Our enterprise product enables large organizations to capture, store and analyze terabytes of machine data in near-real time.

Role Responsibilities

Graylog is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support our Sales team and customer engagement initiatives. In this role, you will:

  • Promote Graylog solutions to new and existing clients.
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations and product demonstrations highlighting Graylog’s value
  • Assess client’s needs and resources, and recommend appropriate Graylog and complementary solutions
  • Assist pre-sales team in the design, planning, and implementation of Graylog into customer environments
  • Scope required professional services engagements
  • Provide consultative technical support for Graylog partner network
  • Present at trade shows, seminars, and oversee internal demonstration facilities
  • Act as the voice of the customer to drive future enhancements to Graylog 
  • Help in researching and developing new products

What is Required?

We are looking for an experienced pre-sales engineer that is versed in supporting sales in the pursuit of building lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a pre-sales engineer and/or support engineer.
  • 7+ years of experience working for global software vendors.
  • Building, supporting and selling security solutions experience preferred.
  • Ability to highlight Graylog product differentiators against our competitors in the Centralized Log Management market.
  • Experience with or the working knowledge Graylog products, ElasticSearch, Splunk, or other log management platforms.
  • Prior experience demonstrating log management solution and conducting PoCs
  • Prior experience presenting security solutions at trade shows and security conferences.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Certifications: CISSP, MCSE, GWAPT, CCFE, CPT, CEH, and ITIL a plus
